Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy for Corporate Account (Ordering Party)

This policy is currently under review. The updated policy will be displayed at the top of this page and will apply to cancellations occurring on or after September 10, 2023. The existing policy will be displayed at the bottom of this page and will apply to cancellations occurring before the effective date of the new policy.

Effective Date: September 10, 2023

Cancellations by the Ordering Party can disrupt the plans of the Supplier and potentially erode trust among Jelper Club members. Therefore, in specific circumstances where the Ordering Party cancels a confirmed order, or if it is determined under this Policy that the responsibility for the cancellation lies with the Ordering Party, Jelper Club may levy a cancellation fee or undertake other measures. The cancellation fees and other measures outlined herein are intended to reflect the costs and other implications suffered by the Ordering Party, their community, and Jelper Club due to the cancellation. Discretionary circumstances, or legitimate reasons beyond the control of the Ordering Party, may warrant exemption from the cancellation fees, and other measures may be waived depending on the circumstances.

Cancellation Fees

The cancellation fees payable by the Ordering Party are calculated based on the following criteria:

・Pre-approval deadline: No charge
・Post-approval deadline: 100% of the total order value
The cancellation fee will be deducted from the credit card registered by the Ordering Party at the time of cancellation.

Situations Where Cancellation Fees Do Not Apply

In appropriate circumstances, such as discretionary factors or legitimate reasons beyond the control of the Supplier, the cancellation fees stipulated in this Policy may be waived.

Even if cancellation fees are waived, other measures may still be taken.

Ordering Parties who believe they meet any of the above criteria must provide documentary evidence or other proof. Jelper Club will verify the evidence and determine whether to waive the cancellation fee and any other measures.

Account Suspension and Deactivation

If more than three orders are cancelled within a year, the listing may be temporarily suspended or deactivated.

Additional Measures

In addition to cancellation fees, other measures, such as prohibiting the Ordering Party from placing another order on the cancelled date, may be taken.

Ordering Parties who repeatedly cancel confirmed tasks without legitimate reason may be subject to additional measures as outlined in Jelper Club's Terms of Service, such as temporary suspension or deletion of the account.

Other Considerations

The Ordering Party must promptly cancel any tasks that are to be canceled and should not encourage the Supplier to do so.

Furnishing false statements or documents in relation to this Policy may constitute a breach of Jelper Club's Terms of Service and may lead to account suspension or other measures.

This Policy applies to cancellations occurring after its effective date. The rights of either the Ordering Party or the Supplier to take legal action shall remain unaffected. Any amendments to this Policy shall be made in accordance with Jelper Club's Terms of Service.

Cancellation Policy for Student Organization & Career Center (Contractor)

This policy is currently under revision. The updated policy will be displayed at the top of this page and shall be applicable to cancellations occurring on or after September 10, 2023. The existing policy will be displayed at the bottom of this page and shall be applicable to cancellations that occur prior to the effective date of the new policy.

Although cancellations by the Contractor are rare and some may occur outside the Contractor's control, they may disrupt the Client's plans and potentially undermine trust within the Jelper Club community. Therefore, under specific conditions, should the Contractor cancel a confirmed order, or should the Contractor be determined as responsible for the cancellation under this policy, Jelper Club reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee or take other measures. Such cancellation fees and measures are intended to reflect the costs and impacts incurred by the Contractor, the Contractor's community, and Jelper Club due to the cancellation. If the Contractor cancels due to extenuating circumstances or uncontrollable legitimate reasons, cancellation fees may be waived, and other measures may also be waived, depending on the situation.

Cancellation Fees
Cancellation fees to be borne by the Contractor shall be calculated as follows:

・Cancellations before the Approval Deadline: No charge.
・Cancellations after the Approval Deadline:
 ・Up to 72 hours before the End Date: 50% of the order amount.
 ・Within 72 hours before the End Date: 100% of the order amount.


Cancellation fees will typically be deducted from future receivables in accordance with the Payment Service Terms of Use. Apart from the cancellation fees and measures described in this policy, Contractors who cancel, or who are determined to be responsible for the cancellation, shall not be entitled to receive payment for that reservation. In cases where payment has already been made, the amount shall be deducted from future receivables.

Exceptions to Cancellation Fees
Cancellation fees may be waived under appropriate circumstances, such as extenuating circumstances or uncontrollable legitimate reasons.

Even when cancellation fees are waived, other measures, such as calendar blocking, may still be implemented.

Contractors who believe they meet any of the above criteria must submit documentary proof or other evidence. Jelper Club will verify the evidence and decide whether to waive the cancellation fee and other measures.

Public Reviews
If a cancellation occurs after the Approval Deadline, an automatic review indicating the cancellation will be posted to the Contractor's profile. Such reviews cannot be removed but a public reply can be posted to clarify the reason for the cancellation.

Account Suspension and Deactivation
Contractors who cancel three or more orders within a year may have their accounts temporarily suspended or deactivated.

Other Measures
In addition to cancellation fees, other measures such as calendar blocking may be taken. This would prevent the Contractor from accepting other work on the canceled date(s).

Contractors Found Responsible for Cancellation
"Contractors Found Responsible for Cancellation" refers to cases where the listing status significantly deviates from the original description at the time of reservation. Examples include double booking or accepting and confirming work that cannot be performed, thereby causing significant disruption to the Client.

Other Considerations
Contractors must promptly cancel tasks they cannot undertake and should not urge the Client to do so.

Submitting false statements or documents related to this policy may violate Jelper Club’s Terms of Service and may lead to account suspension or other measures.

This policy is applicable to cancellations occurring on or after the effective date. Legal actions available to either the Client or Contractor shall not be affected. Changes to this policy will be conducted in accordance with Jelper Club's Terms of Service.
